Trauma-Informed
Practice
In my work, I take a trauma‑informed approach, recognising the profound impact that trauma can have on a person’s life. I focus on creating a sense of safety, trust, and empowerment so you can explore your experiences without fear of being re‑traumatised. I understand behaviours not as deficits, but as survival strategies that once helped you cope. This approach shifts the question from “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?”
Rewind Technique
I am qualified to provide Rewind Therapy, a gentle, non-intrusive way to help you process traumatic memories and phobias. This approach uses guided visualisation to support your brain in reworking and processing these distressing experiences—without you needing to disclose them. These memories can quickly lose their emotional intensity and become easier to manage, helping you move forward with greater ease and resilience.
Face-to-Face
I offer face‑to‑face counselling in a safe, confidential space where you can talk openly and be fully heard. Meeting in person allows us to build connection through presence, body language, and shared environment. This setting provides a calm, supportive atmosphere to explore your thoughts and feelings, fostering trust and deeper understanding.
Walk-and-Talk
I offer Walk and Talk Counselling as an alternative to traditional indoor sessions. Meeting outdoors and walking side‑by‑side can feel more relaxed, reduce the intensity of face‑to‑face conversation, and make it easier to open up. The movement and fresh air often support clearer thinking, lift mood, and bring a sense of calm. This approach combines the benefits of counselling with the restorative effects of nature, helping you reflect, process, and move forward in a gentle, grounded way.
Online therapy
I offer online counselling, giving you the flexibility to meet from the comfort of your own space. Using secure video platforms, we can connect wherever you are, making therapy more accessible and convenient. Online sessions provide the same care, confidentiality, and support as face‑to‑face counselling, while fitting more easily into your schedule.
